Tata Motors has just revealed the specs and features of the much-awaited Altroz in India.

Slated to launch in January, Tata Motors has been revealed the specifications and features of the Altroz premium hatchback. The Baleno rival will be offered in both petrol and diesel engines. Both engines will be BS6 compliant.

It gets powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine puts out 86 PS at 6000 RPM and 113 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM, while the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine churns out 90 PS at 4000 RPM and 200 Nm of torque at 1250-3000 RPM. Both engines will be mated with a 5-speed manual transmission and the AMT will be offered in the later stage.

In terms of safety, the Altroz gets dual airbag, ABS and EBD as standard across all variants. Braking duties are taken care of disc brakes at the front and drum at the rear. 

The Altroz is comes loaded with features including engine push-button start/stop, drive modes, automatic climate control, electrically foldable ORVMs, smart key, fast charging ports at front and rear, cruise control, rear AC vents, rain-sensing wipers 90-degree opening doors, auto headlamps, wearable key, rear-seat armrest, follow me home headlights and 15-litre cooled glove box.

Tata Altroz measures 3990mm in length, 1755mm in width,  1523mm in overall height and wheelbase is 2501mm. It has a turning radius of 5-metre and ground clearance is 165mm. Fuel tank capacity is 37-litres and the boot space is 345-litres. It gets 195/55 R16 Diamond cut alloys in the range-topping variant. 

The Altroz also comes with 7-inch TFT Color Display with mirroring of media & navigation information from infotainment screen. It also features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. It has mated with a 100 W  Harman speakers.
