BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX Launched, Priced At Rs. 10.79 Lakh

The new Ninja 1000SX replaces the Ninja 1000 in the company's India lineup.

India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd. (IKM) has been launched the new BS6 compliant Ninja 1000SX in India. The litre-class sport-tourer motorcycle is priced at 10.79 Lakh (ex-showroom). The new Ninja 1000SX comes with a host of new updates along with a BS6 compliant engine. The new motorcycle costs Rs. 50,000/- over its predecessor the Ninja 1000. Bookings have already started through the company's website and deliveries will commence soon.

The new Ninja 1000SX will be available in two colour options - Metallic Graphite Grey / Metallic Diablo Black and Emerald Blazed Green / Metallic Carbon Grey / Metallic Graphite Grey. In terms of designing the new Ninja 1000SX gets a slightly redesigned front facia along with an aggressive firing. The motorcycle also features new LED headlamp, taller windscreen, slightly tweaked pillion seat and it also replaces the quad exhaust with a single canister to reduce the weight of the motorcycle.



Kawasaki also loaded the new Ninja 1000SX with a host of other features including electronic throttle valves, electronic throttle valves, electronic cruise control, integrated riding modes, traction control, 4.3-inch TFT colour instrumentation, quick shifter, cornering management function, intelligent anti-lock brake system, smartphone connectivity via Rideology app and Bridgestone’s Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres.

Powering the new Ninja 1000SX is a 1,043cc, Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-line Four engine, which churns out 142 PS at 10,000 RPM and 111 Nm of torque at 8,000 RPM., it comes mated with a 6-speed gearbox. In terms of suspension, the motorcycle gets a 41mm inverted forks at the front and horizontal Back-link gas-charged shock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by 300 mm dual semi-?oating discs at the front and a 250 mm single-disc at the rear.
