Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Clocks 5.5 Lakh Sales Milestone.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga hits new sales milestone with 5.5 lakh units sales. Originally launched back in 2012, the Ertiga has been the brand's one of the best selling models in India. Maruti Suzuki launched the second generation of the MPV in 2018, it has received an even better response from the market. 

Despite being sold with a single petrol engine, the Ertiga has maintained its position very well. Based on the new generation Ertiga Maruti Suzuki also launched the 6-seater XL6 last year and the latter one does pretty well as well.

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga comes powered by a 1.5-litre Petrol engine with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed Torque Converter type automatic transmission. The power and torque output of this engine are 105PS and 138Nm, respectively. It is also the only MPV in the country offered with CNG.

In terms of safety, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga comes with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold (AT only), rear Isofix child-seat mounts, electronic stability program (AT only), front seat-belt reminders, and rear parking sensors and speed alarms. The MPV also received 3-star safety rating for adult occupancy (9.25/17) and three stars child safety (25.16/49) in the Global NCAP crash test.

The Ertiga MPV is priced at a price range of Rs 7.59 to 11.21 lakh. CNG variant is available for Rs 10.08 lakh (All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
