Tata Motors rolls out the 100,000th Nexon from its Ranjangaon plant.
Tata Motors has been selling the Nexon sub-compact SUV in India since 2017. Launched back in September 2017, the Nexon is the of one the best selling product for the company, making it the 2nd most selling sub-compact SUV in the country for the past 1 year. Now, Tata Motors has announced the completion of the 1 lakh production milestone of the Nexon. The 100,000th Nexon was rolled out from the Ranjangaon plant.
Built on the revised X1 platform, the Nexon is the third product based on Tata's Impact design philosophy. The biggest achievement for Nexon came with a full 5-star safety rating in the renowned Global NCAP crash test, making it India’s safest car. Nexon is the only car in India to have achieved this feat. The Nexon was the most awarded sub-compact SUV of 2018.
Unlike the competitors, the Nexon comes with a coupe inspired design, three-tone interiors with floating infotainment system and multi-drive modes such as eco, city and sport. The Nexon is available in both petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2-litre, Turbocharged Revotron engine puts out 110PS of power and 170Nm of torque, while 1.5-litre oil burner churns out 110PS of power and 260Nm of torque. Both engines are comes mated with a 6-speed manual or AMT option.
