Maruti Suzuki Ertiga reaches a new milestone.

Maruti Suzuki has been selling the Ertiga MPV in India for over 8 years. The Ertiga has now reached a new milestone for selling over 5 lakh units in 8 years. In India, the Ertiga is Maruti Suzuki is selling its second-generation model. It was launched in 2018.

Among the 5 lakh units, the first-generation model managed to sell 418,128 units in 7 years. While the current generation model alone sold 1 lakh units in 13 months. Ertiga is a market leader with 36% market share amongst MPVs and Maruti Suzuki has increased its market share from 25.3% to 50.3%.

Based on Suzuki’s 5th Generation HEARTECT platform the Ertiga is the only MPV is selling with three fuel options including petrol, diesel and CNG options. Nearly 28% of buyers are prefered the CNG. The K15 Smart Hybrid petrol engine makes 103 BHP at 6000 RPM and 138Nm of torque at 4400 RPM. While the 1.5-litre diesel engine makes 93.87 BHP at 4000 RPM and a max torque 225 Nm at 1500-2500 RPM.

- Priced from 7.54 lakhs and goes all the way up to 11.20 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
