Maruti Suzuki has launched the BS6 compliant Wagon R 1.0-litre in India.

Maruti Suzuki has been launched the Wagon R 1.0-litre BS6 in India, it is priced from Rs. 4.42 lakhs and goes all the way up to Rs. 5.41 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The BS6 model costs Rs. 8000/- over the BS4 model and it is available in 6 variants.

The Wagon R is comes powered by the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder K10B petrol engine is capable of producing 67 BHP at 6200 RPM and giving a maximum torque of 90 Nm at 3500 RPM. This comes mated with a 5-speed manual or an AMT transmission. Due to the BS6 update, there is a slight change in the fuel efficiency figure, it has dropped from 22.5 kmpl to 21.79 kmpl.

Nearly 70 per cent of Maruti Suzuki's monthly sales include BS6 models and it aiming further well ahead of the deadline on 1st April 2020. Maruti Suzuki will update all of its petrol models to meet the upcoming emission norm while the diesel might not get updated.
