Volkswagen has launched the facelifted Polo and Vento in India.

Volkswagen has been launched the facelifted Polo and Vento in India. The 2019 Polo is priced from Rs.5.82 lakhs and goes all the way up to Rs. 9.31 lakhs, while the Vento is priced from Rs.8.76 and goes up to Rs.12.10 lakhs (prices are ex-showroom Delhi).

In terms of styling both get inspiration from the Polo GTI. At the front, both come with a honeycomb grille and a redesigned bumper with sleek looking air intake. Both models also feature 16-inch Grey coloured alloy and electrically foldable side mirrors as well. At the rear, the new Polo gets a new tail section which largely reminds that of the European spec Polo. While the new Vento gets a slightly revised tail light with a redesigned bumper, it takes inspiration from the Polo GTI.

On the interior, both the Polo and Vento carry the same dashboard as before and Volkswagen now offers 'Volkswagen Connect' from above Highline trim.


The new Polo gets the same engine as before, the 1.0-litre MPI petrol engine puts out 76 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque and the 1.5-litre TDI diesel mill churns out 90 PS of power and 230 Nm of torque. While the new Vento gets three engine options, a 1.6-litre MPI petrol with 105 PS and 153 Nm, 1.5-litre TDI diesel with 110 PS and 250 Nm and a 1.2-litre TSI petrol with 105 PS and 174 Nm.

Both the new Polo and Vento is equipped with the mandatory safety features includes ABS, dual airbags, speed alarm, rear parking sensors and seat belt warning.

Like all Volkswagen cars, both the Polo and Vento offer standardized vehicle warranty up to 4 years or 100,000 km, 4-year free roadside assistance and three free services to the customers. Volkswagen also announces a 5-year standard warranty program on the diesel variants.

The Polo competes with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Ford Figo. While the Vento will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and Honda City.
