Maruti Suzuki has launched the Alto 800 CNG in India.
Maruti Suzuki has been launched the CNG variants of the popular Alto 800 in India, priced at Rs. 4.10 lakhs for the LXi trim and Rs. 4.14 lakhs for the LXi (O) trim (prices are ex-showroom Delhi). Maruti Suzuki launched the BS-6 compliant Alto 800, a few months ago. The company also made styling changes as well.
The CNG variants of the popular hatchback cost over Rs. 60,000 over the regular petrol trim, it is comes powered by a 796cc engine produces 41 BHP and 60 Nm of torque, it is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The automaker reportedly working on a new generation Alto, which will replace the Alto series. The new generation car is likely to be launched in the market by 2020, which will be offered in both 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre engine options.
