Skoda Octavia Onyx has launched in India.

Skoda has been launched the Octavia Onyx in India, it is priced at Rs. 19.99 lakhs for the petrol variant and Rs. 21.99 lakhs for the diesel variant respectively. The Octavia Onyx is available in three colour options - Candy White, Race Blue and Corrida Red.

The Octavia Onyx comes Black design elements and the front fascia is dominated by massive and elegant front butterfly grille with chrome surround and characteristic Quadra headlamps with CystalGlo LED daytime running lights.

The side profile of the Octavia Onyx comes with carbon back door foils, glossy black 16-inch Premia alloy wheels and wing mirror housings accentuate the appearance. The C shaped illumination, typical of the Skoda model range and it also features a glossy black spoiler as well.

On the inside, the new Octavia Onyx gets a premium black leather upholstery, chrome highlights, three-spoke SuperSport flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel with paddle-shift and black perforated leather. It also features a twelve-way electrically-adjustable driver and front passenger seats with lumbar support and three programmable memory functions for the driver seat.

The new Octavia Onyx comes with the AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System) function for optimum illumination of the road and its surroundings. These headlamps can respond to speed changes as well as to various light and weather conditions. 

In terms of safety, the Octavia Onyx comes equipped with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), MBA (Mechanical Brake Assist), MKB (Multi Collision Brake), HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assist), ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) and EDL (Electronic Differential Lock).

The Octavia Onyx comes equipped with the 1.8 TSI (DSG) petrol engine and the 2.0 TDI (DSG) diesel engine from the Octavia model range. The 1.8 TSI (automatic seven-speed DSG) produces 180 PS and 250 Nm of torque while delivering claimed fuel efficiency of 15.1 kmpl. It achieves 0 to 100 km/hr in 7.7 seconds and a top speed of 233 km/hr. The turbo-charged 2.0 TDI churns out 143 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque and it comes with an automatic six-speed DSG, as standard. It reaches the 0 to 100 km/hr in 9.2 seconds, a top speed of 213 km/hr and the claimed fuel efficiency is 19.5 kmpl.
