Tata Gravitas Teased; Seven Seater SUV Based On Harrier.

Tata Motors has announced its seven-seater SUV, will be called Gravitas.

Tata Motors is all set to strengthen its SUV portfolio further. The Company has christened its upcoming flagship SUV- Tata GRAVITAS. The Gravitas is a seven-seater SUV based on the Harrier. The new SUV was first revealed earlier this year at the Geneva motor show, then it was named as Buzzard.

The Gravitas underpin by the  OMEGA (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced) Architecture. It is the second product from the company to get underpin by the OMEGA Architecture, the first one was the Harrier which was launched earlier this year.

From the front fascia, the Gravitas looks identical to the Harrier and even get the same interior and dashboard layout is also same as the five-seater sibling, while the new one might get different colour treatment. On the inside, added the third row will be the major change. On the tail section where the looks different from the Harrier and looks massively redesigned.

The Gravitas is expected to carry most of its features from the Harrier and is also expected to get an automatic transmission and factory fitted sunroof, both are being a miss on the Harrier. The Gravitas will come powered by the same engine from the Harrier and it will be on the higher state of tune. The 2.0-litre diesel will make around 170 BHP.

Tata Motors will launch the Gravitas in February 2020 and the company will also launch the Altroz premium hatchback by early 2020. The Gravitas will be the new flagship SUV for the company, it will be priced higher than the Harrier.
