Yamaha has launched the BS6 compliant FZ and FZ-S.

Yamaha has been launched the BS6 compliant FZ and FZ-S in India, prices for the new motorcycle starts from Rs. 99,200/- (ex-showroom Delhi). Apart from the all existing colours Yamaha also launched two new colour schemes for the models - Metallic Red and Darknight.

The FZ and FZ-S are the one one of the first motorcycles to get updated with BS6 engines well ahead of the April 1, 2020 deadline. Due to the stricter emission norms, the FZ Series now put out lesser power as compared to the BS4 models though new motorcycles produce slightly higher torque.

Both the FZ BS6 and FZ-S BS6 are come powered by the same engine as before. The 149cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine puts out 12.4 PS at 7250 RPM and 13.6 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. Transmission duties are taken care of a 5-speed gearbox.

Besides the all-new changes, the FZ Series remains unchanged. Both motorcycles get the same negative LCD display, single-piece seat and the full-LED headlamp as before. Braking duties are taken care of disc brakes on both ends along with single-channel ABS as standard.
