Yamaha has unveiled the FZ 25 BS6 and FZS 25 BS6 in India earlier this year and the company has now listed on the official website. The overall design of the motorcycles looks similar to what we saw in the BS4 FZ 25, though the new models get a sharper looking headlamp and new colour options. Additionally, both motorcycles get new features like multi-function negative LCD Instrument cluster, LED day time running lamp, bi-functional LED headlight, under cowling and side stand with engine cut-off switch.
Powering the new FZ 25 and FZS 25 is the same 249-cc Air Cooled, SOHC, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine puts out 20.8 PS at 8000 RPM and a maximum torque of 20.1 Nm at 6000 RPM. This engine will be mated with a 5-speed gearbox. There will be no changes in the suspension and braking department.
Earlier, Yamaha was scheduled to launch the motorcycles in April, but the ongoing Corona Virus pandemic has caused a delay in the launch. Both motorcycles are expected to go on sale within a few weeks after the nationwide lockdown ends. Prices are expected to have a hike of Rs. 10,000 over the BS4 model.
