Toyota will launch the rebadged version of the Baleno on June 6.

After a few months of teasing, the Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) will launch the rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno on June 6. Suzuki and Toyota have agreed to share their products a few months ago. Apart from the new partnership, the Glanza will be the first product. A rebadged version of the Vitara Brezza also in the card and it will be launched later.

The Toyota Glanza will share almost everything from the Baleno, it is expected to come with very minimal tweaks. Styling wise, it even receives the same alloy wheels from the Baleno. At the front, it gets a newly designed grille with Toyota badging. From the rear, it will address the Glanza branding with the variant name. 

Unlike the Baleno, the Glanza is will likely to available in a petrol engine only. The 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder engine produces 83 BHP and 113 Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission along with a CVT option. 

Prices for the Glanza is yet to announce, it is expected to be a little higher than the Baleno. Once it is launched in the country, the Glanza will compete against the Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20 and the upcoming Tata Altroz in India.
