Tata Motors has released a teaser of its upcoming premium hatchback.
The Tata Altroz has spotted testing on Indian roads for multiple times and now the homegrown automaker has released a teaser image of the Altroz. It has now confirmed that the Baleno rival will be launched January 2020 and it will get a set of BS6 compliant engine from the first day.
Based on the Impact design 2.0 design, the Altroz was first showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo as the Tata 45X Concept and it has made its debut in the near-production format earlier this year at the Geneva motor show.
The Altroz is the first model to be underpinned by the ALFA platform (Agile Light Flexible Advanced), The Altroz is expected to be a feature-loaded car for both outsides and inside. It will be as spacious as its rivals and it will be the widest vehicle among the competition.
The Baleno rival will be offered in three engine options - 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine from the Tiago with around 85 PS, 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel engines from the Nexon and the power and torque figures will be lower as compared to the Nexon.
