Tata Motors has been teasing the Altroz premium hatchback since a while now. The Baleno rival has spotted testing on Indian roads for multiple times. It will be launched by early 2020 and the homegrown automaker has rolled out its first Altroz from the Pune plant.
The company is all set for the launch of the highly anticipated, premium hatchback in January 2020. The Altroz is the second vehicle designed under the Impact design 2.0 language and the first one to be developed on the new ALFA architecture.
Tata Motors first showcased the 45X concept at the Auto Expo in February 2018, followed by a display at the Geneva International Motor Show earlier. The production-ready version of the Altroz receives design cues from the 45X concept. The name Altroz has originated from the Albatross sea bird.
Once it is launched in India it will go up against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz and Hyundai i20.
