Maruti Suzuki has launched the much-awaited S-Presso in India.
Maruti Suzuki has been launched the S-Presso compact car in India and it is priced from Rs. 3.69 lakhs for the Standard base variant and goes up to Rs. 4.91 lakhs for the VXi+ AMT (AGS) variant (prices are ex-showroom). The S-Presso is available in four variants - Standard, LXi, VXi and VXi+.
Based on the Heartect platform, the S-Presso comes with an upright stand and a distinct SUV character with a boxy design statement. At the front, it gets bold headlamp cluster and the Vitara Brezza inspired front grille comes integrated with the headlamp cluster. It also gets a Black coloured bumper which further enhances the SUV character.
On the side profile, it seems only body curves and there is no rubber pad has on offer. At the rear, it retains the boxy design of the car and it even gets boxy taillight as well. On the interior, the S-Presso gets an all-Black theme and it comes with digital speedo which placed at the centre of the dashboard. The S-Presso offers first in its class Steering mounted audio and voice controls and a 7-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and other Smartplay Studio Apps.
In terms of safety, the S-Presso features such as dual airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock-Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), seat belts with pre-tensioners and force Limiters, driver/co-driver seat belt reminder, rear parking assist system, high-speed warning alert and reverse parking sensors.
The S-Presso comes powered by the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, BS6 compliant engine, which churns out 68 PS of power and 90 Nm of torque and it comes mated with a 5-speed manual or an optional AMT on the VXi and VXi+ variants. The S-Presso comes with a claimed fuel efficiency of 21.7km/l for the VXi and VXi+ variants and 21.4km/l for the rest.
In terms of dimensions, the S-Presso has a length of 3565mm, 1520mm of width and the wheelbase is 2380mm. The vehicle has a height of 1565mm on higher variants and 1549mm of height on the lower variants. The S-Presso is available in four colours - Superior White, Solid Fire Red, Metalic Granite Grey and Metalic Silky Silver.
The S-Presso will compete against the Renault Kwid, Datsun Redi-Go and Maruti Suzuki's own Alto K10.
