Maruti Suzuki has released the official sketches of the upcoming XL6.

Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its all-new XL6 MPV on August 21, it has been spotted testing for a while now. The company has now released the official sketches of the XL6 MPV. Based on the Ertiga, the XL6 MPV will be the new offering from the company and it will be sold through the company's NEXA dealerships across the country.

The teaser images give a clear hint on the exterior as well as interior design. At the front, the XL6 features an entirely different design with the trapezoidal front grille, new multi-reflector LED headlamps. At the rear, the XL6 gets the same L-shaped tail-light from the standard Ertiga. Unlike the standard Ertiga, the XL6 will get an all-black treatment interior and the second-row captain seat layout as on the Mahindra Marazzo and the Toyota Innova Crysta.

The XL6 MPV is expected to come powered by the same 1.5-litre, K15 petrol engine from the standard Ertiga, it puts out 105PS of power, and 138Nm of torque, it will be mated with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. The 1.5-litre diesel engine might not be offered in the XL6. Once it is launched in the country, it will go up against the likes of the Mahindra Marazzo and the Renault Lodgy.
