Mahindra XUV5OO now comes with Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Mahindra has introduced Apple CarPlay on its popular XUV5OO. The new addition will be available only in the top-end W11 variant of the XUV5OO. Launched back in 2011, the XUV5OO received a major facelift in 2018. Despite being 8 years old, the SUV doing pretty well in the sales chart.

The XUV5OO is the third vehicle to feature the Apple CarPlay. Mahindra already features Apple CarPlay in two other popular vehicles — Mahindra Marazzo and Mahindra XUV300. Apple CarPlay offers easy access to calls, music and Siri search by connecting the user's iPhone with the infotainment system of Mahindra XUV500. CarPlay automatically brings useful information from the user’s iPhone and organizes it into a simple UI that appears just when required on the infotainment system.

Mahindra provides this update to existing owners of the W11 variant as well. They can visit a Mahindra's authorized workshop to get their infotainment system upgraded with Apple CarPlay. Apart from the new update, Mahindra hasn't made any other changes to the XUV5OO.  The company is working on the next generation XUV5OO, which is expected to go on sale by the end of 2020.
