Mahindra has launched a special 700 model of its popular Thar.

Mahindra has been launched a special edition model for the Thar, it is called 'Thar 700'. The new Thar 700 is priced at 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The Thar 700 will be the last batch of the iconic SUV. The SUV will be replaced with a new generation avatar, which is expected to hit the market by 2020.

The Thar 700 comes with new 5-spoke alloy wheels, decals on the side and bonnet, black finish on the grille, silver finish on the front bumper, Leatherette upholstery with THAR logo on the front seats and Anti-lock braking system (ABS). The highlight of the Thar 700 will be a special badge on the vehicle with the signature of Mr Anand Mahindra, Chairman – Mahindra Group. The Thar 700 can be booked at any authorised Mahindra dealership or online.

Apart from the cosmetic updates, there are no mechanical changes have made to the vehicle. Powering the Thar 700 is the same 2.5-litre CRDe, diesel engine produces 105 BHP at 3800 RPM and 247 Nm of torque at 1800 RPM, this engine is comes mated with a 5-speed manual transmission along with a 4WD System.
