MINI has launched the Black Edition of the Countryman compact SUV.

Apart from the festive season in the country, all manufacturers are bringing special editions across models. To be apart of the party MINI  has been launched the Countryman Black Edition in India, it is priced at Rs. 42.40 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Countryman Black Edition will be available 24 units in India.

The Countryman Black Edition comes with few updated styling for both exterior and interior along with new features including the all-black grille, Carbon fibre finished JCW mirror caps, piano black headlight and tail-light rim, rear side 'Countryman' badging, black roof rails and black bonnet stripes.

On the exterior, the Black Edition comes with an 18-inch JCW alloy, Automatic Tailgate with Comfort Access System, John Cooper Works Aerodynamic Kit, Panorama Glass Roof and a Rear View Camera. On the interior, it gets a JCW Steering Wheel, JCW Door Entry Strips and Stainless Steel Pedal covers, Head-Up Display, Picnic Bench, Wired Package, Electric Seat Adjustment with Memory Function, Sport Seats for Driver and Front Passenger in Leather Cross Punch Carbon Black and Hi-Fi Loudspeaker System Harman Kardon.

There are no other mechanical changes have made to the vehicle. The Countryman Black Edition comes powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 192 BHP and 280 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It does 0-100 km/hr in 7.5 seconds.
