Kia revealed the Seltos for the first time globally at a special event in Delhi, India.
Kia has been revealed its first compact SUV Seltos in India, based on the SPi concept, the Seltos will be Kia's first product for India. The Seltos has made its Global Debut in India. The compact SUV will be launched India in the coming months and it will come with both diesel and petrol engine options along with a bunch of transmission options.
The Seltos looks modern and it gets a modern design element as well. At the front, it gets Kia's typical 'tiger nose' grille along with LED headlamps, DRLs and a fog lamp. At the rear too it gets LED tail-light along with a muscular design. The Kia Seltos will be available in 8 colours options along with 5 dual-tone options.
The interior of the Kia Saltos comes with a 10.25-inch touch-screen, ventilated seats, Bose sound system, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera, powered driver's seat, sunroof, air purifier, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, etc. The Seltos also gets UVO CONNECT telematics system, which comes with smartphone connectivity, AI-based voice command, stolen vehicle notification with tracking, safety alerts, auto collision notification and emergency assistance.
The Kia Seltos will come with BS6-compliant 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines as well as 1.4-litre turbo petrol. all the engines will get 6-speed manual transmission as standard. The 1.5-litre petrol engine will be offered with the CVT. The 1.5-litre diesel offered with an automatic transmission. While the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol will be offered in a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
The car is fitted with safety features including 6-airbags, ABS with electronic brake force distribution, ESP, traction control, stability management, hill-start assist control or HAC, brake assist, rear and front parking camera, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, etc.
Kia is setting up with 265 authorised touchpoints across 160 cities in India at the time of launch. Once the Seltos is launched in India it will go up against the likes of the Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, Jeep Compass and recently unveiled MG Hector.
