India-Bound 2020 Honda City Revealed.

The new-generation Honda City has been revealed.

Honda has been revealed the new generation Honda City. In terms of the design, the new city gets all-new design and it looks like an evolution of the current generation city. The new model is looking more modern and larger than the outgoing model. Honda also revealed the RS variant for the City, which gets the sportier appeal.

At the front, the new City receives the inspiration from the Civic, it also gets a full LED headlamp and an all-new grille as well. From the side profile, it looks larger than the current model and it gets a new set of alloy wheels and the ORVMs are placed in the doors. At the rear, it gets a wraparound LED tail-light while the RS variant gets black elements.

On the interior, the new City looks fresh with the all-black treatment and it also gets a new three-spoke steering wheel, an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Honda Connect system. It also features a conventional-looking instrument cluster along with a MID in the Centre. 

Globally, the new City will be offered with a range of petrol and diesel engines including the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol along with a new 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which churns out 122 PS at 5500 RPM and 173 Nm of torque at 2000-4500 RPM and it has claimed fuel efficiency of 23.8 km/l.

The new generation City is expected to hit the Indian market by the mid-2020 and it will come equipped with BS6 engines. It has started testing in India and spotted testing for multiple times. In Thailand, the new City will be offered in four variants - S, V, SV and RS. Once it is launched in India it will go up against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Verna.
