Hyundai's new compact SUV crosses 50,000 bookings.
Hyundai has launched the Venue sub-compact SUV in the country in May this year and became a blockbuster for the Korean carmaker. The Venue has received over 50,000 bookings in just 2 months since its launch. According to new reports, the venue has become the second-largest selling sub-compact SUV in June 2019. Over 35% of buyers have preferred the DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) variant.
Hyundai has offered in 3 different engines including two petrol and one diesel engine. The 1-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol puts out 118 BHP and 172 Nm of torque, it can be mated with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT gearbox. The 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine puts out 82 BHP and 115 Nm of torque, while the 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder diesel puts out 89 BHP and 220 Nm of torque. Unlike the 1-litre turbo other two engines are come mated with only a 6-speed manual transmission.
