Hyundai has revealed the engine details of the upcoming compact sedan.
Hyundai has been teasing its upcoming compact sedan since a while now. The Korean automaker has already revealed the name of the model and it will be called Aura. Hyundai has now officially revealed the engine details of the Aura.
The Aura will get three engines and all will be BS6 compliant from the very beginning. The 1.2 Kappa VTVT Petrol engine puts out 83 PS of power and 113.75 Nm of torque. The 1.2 CRDi diesel engine puts out 75 PS of power and 190 Nm of torque. Both engines will come mated with a 5-speed manual or an AMT.
The Aura will also have a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Venue, though this might produce lesser power as compared to the Venue. However, this engine will be mated to a 5-speed transmission only.
The Aura will share most of its design cues from the recently launched Grand i10 Nios. The upcoming compact sedan is expected to be unveiled soon and it will go on sale by early 2020. Once it is launched in India, it will go up against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Dezire, Ford Aspire, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor.
