Hero MotoCorp has launched its first BS6 compliant two-wheeler in India.

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer has been launched its first BS6 compliant motorcycle – the new Splendor iSmart. The new Splendor iSmart BS6 is priced at Rs. 64,900/- (ex-showroom). The new motorcycle costs nearly Rs. 7500/- over the BS4 model.

The new Splendor iSmart BS6 comes with a new diamond chassis and it offers a ground clearance of 180mm which is 15mm more than the outgoing model. The motorcycle also gets higher wheelbase of 36mm more as the compared outgoing model. However, seat height remains unchanged at 799mm.

The new Splendor iSmart BS6 comes powered by a new 113.2cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine puts out 9.1 PS at 7500 RPM and  9.89 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The new motorcycle produces 0.4 PS lesser power as compared to the outgoing model. Deliveries for the motorcycle will begin after 3-4 weeks.

The new Splendor iSmart BS6 is available in three colour options – Techno Blue & Black, Sports Red & Black and Force Silver & Heavy Grey. The motorcycle is available in two variants – Self Drum Cast and Self Disc Cast.
