Ethanol-powered TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 has launched in India, priced at Rs. 1.20 lakhs.

TVS has been launched India's first Ethanol-powered two-wheeler India. The TVS ethanol-powered Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 is priced at Rs. 1.20 lakhs (ex-showroom India). For now, the new motorcycle is only available in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka.

The ethanol-powered Apache RTR 200 was first showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. Except for the new Green coloured graphics and the ‘Ethanol’ logo, the Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 receives most of its body parts from the petrol-powered sibling. The company says that the motorcycle is capable to run in a combination of 80% ethanol and 20% petrol. While the ethanol-powered model produces lesser pollution compared to the petrol-powered sibling. 

Powering the Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 is the same 197.75cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel injected engine puts out 21 PS at 8500 RPM and 18.1 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM, it is comes mated with a 5-speed gearbox along with a slipper clutch and the motorcycle has a claimed top speed of 129 kmph.
