The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 makes marginally more power figures as compared to the BS4 model.
Bajaj has been launched the Pulsar NS160 BS6 in India priced at Rs. 1.04 lakhs (ex-showroom). As compared to the BS4 counterpart, the Pulsar NS160 BS6 costlier by around Rs. 9000/-. The BS4 Pulsar NS160 still listed in the company's official website which is priced at Rs. 94,195/- (ex-showroom).
Apart from the new BS6 compliant engine, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 BS6 looks identical to its BS4 counterpart. The NS200 inspired design language carried forward with the same twin LED-taillight, semi-digital instrument cluster and underbelly exhaust. The bike continues to get the same telescopic suspension at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. In terms of breaking the Pulsar NS160 BS6 uses a 260mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear along with single-channel ABS as standard.
The Pulsar NS160 now comes with the same 160.3cc, single-cylinder, 4 Stroke, SOHC 4 Valve, Oil Cooled, Twin Spark engine is now BS6 compliant and the addition of the fuel injection system helps produces 17 BHP at 9000 RPM and 14.6 Nm of torque at 7250 RPM. The BS4 model was tuned to deliver 15.3 BHP and 14.6 Nm of torque.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 BS6 is one of the most powerful motorcycles in the segment and it will compete against the likes of TVS Apache RTR160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ V3.
