Suzuki has launched the updated the Gixxer 250 And Gixxer SF 250.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has been launched the BS6 compliant Gixxer 250 And Gixxer SF 250 in India. The Gixxer 250 BS6 is priced at Rs. 1.63 lakh and the Gixxer SF 250 BS6 is priced at Rs. 1.74 lakh. Meanwhile, the Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP colour edition is priced at Rs. 1.75 lakh (prices are ex-showroom).

Compared to their respective BS4 counterparts, the Gixxer 250 costs Rs. 3,400 and the Gixxer SF 250 costs Rs. 3000. Apart from the upgrade to meet the new regulation norms, there are hardly any visual changes have made to the motorcycles. 

Both motorcycles get a new ECU and exhaust to meet the more stringent BS6 norms. Both motorcycles come powered by the same 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, 4-stroke, fuel-injected engine puts out 26.5 PS at 9300 RPM  and 22.2Nm at 7300 RPM, which is mated with a 6-speed gearbox. As compared to the BS4 counterparts, power on the models come at 300 RPM higher in the rev range, while the torque output is 0.4 Nm lesser and comes early by 200 RPM in the rev range.

Both motorcycles continue to get the telescopic suspension at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties are taken of disc brakes at both ends along with dual-channel ABS as standard. Both the Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 will continues to compete against the likes of the KTM Duke 250, Yamaha FZ 25 and recently launched Bajaj Dominar 250.
