The 2019 Yamaha MT-09 has been launched in India, priced at Rs 10.55 lakh in India (Ex-showroom Delhi). This is an increase of Rs 16,000 over the previous model. The MT-09 is brought down to India as a completely built unit (CBU).
The 2019 Yamaha MT-09 is available in three colors options including White/Red, Blue/Black, and Black and features an aggressively styled twin-eye headlight. Inspired by the flagship MT-10, the slanting dual headlights are equipped with four LED bulbs including dual LED position lights.
The 2019 Yamaha MT-09 comes powered by an 847cc, 3-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine churns out 115 PS at 10,000 rpm and 87.5 Nm at 8,500 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox and gets Quick Shift System (QSS) for faster upshifting along with Assist and Slipper clutch. The 2019 Yamaha MT-09 competes with Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Street Triple 765 and Ducati Monster 821.
