Honda has been launched the Civic in India, it gets a diesel engine for the first time.

Honda has been launched the 10th Generation Civic in India, prices start from Rs. 17.69. Lakhs-22.29. (Ex-showroom Delhi). Unlike before, the Civic now available in a diesel engine and it is available in 5 color options – Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red, Modern Steel, Lunar Silver, and Golden Brown. 

The 2019 Honda Civic is available in 3 variants – V, VX and ZX. even the base V variant come with long features, while the top-end ZX loaded even features including Smart Entry System with push Start/ Stop system, Remote Engine Starter (In Petrol), Auto Rain Sensing Front Wipers,  Auto-Dimming Inside Rear View Mirror, Paddle Shift (in Petrol), Tilt and Telescopic Steering, Rear AC vents, Steering Mounted Cruise Control and Front Centre Armrest with Storage, a 17.7 cm Touchscreen Advanced Display Audio along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. gets 8 Speakers including 4 Tweeters. Premium Ivory Leather Upholstery, 3 Spoke Leather Steering Wheel, 8-way Power Driver Seat, Digital Colour TFT Multi-Information Display, Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control and Electric Parking Brake with Auto Brake Hold.

The 2019 Honda Civic comes with both petrol and diesel engines. The 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol engine produces 141 HP of power and 174 Nm of torque, comes mated to a mated to a 7-step CVT with a claimed fuel efficiency of 16.5 km/l. The 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine produces 118 HP and 300 Nm of torque and it is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, with a claimed fuel efficiency of 26.8 km/l. The Civic goes up against the Skoda Octavia, Hyundai Elantra, and Toyota Corolla Altis.
