Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has been launched its latest sports middleweight model the CBR650R in India, priced at Rs. 7.70 lakhs (Ex-showroom Pan India). First revealed at 2018 EICMA Show in Milan and replaces the CBR650F in Honda's India lineup. The latest middleweight model receives most of the styling cues from its larger sibling, theCBR1000R. The new CBR650R comes in two colors options: Grand Prix Red & Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. The CBR650R will be available at 22 WingWorld and one Honda BigWing dealership in the Country.

To retain its Fireblade DNA, the CBR650R gets sharp and aggressive styling with extended firing and a short tail section. The CBR650R’s chassis is 6kg lighter than its predecessor for faster side-to-side steering agility.  The full LED dual headlamp setup looks similar to its elder sibling the CBR1000RR. The bike also features a digital LCD display, which includes a Gear Position indicator and a Shift Up indicator. It also gets four exhaust downpipes sweeping together around the engine with a redesigned muffler.

Powering the CBR650R is a 648.72 cc, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4 Stroke, DOHC 16 valve engine, which makes 87.16 HP at 11500 RPM and 60.1 Nm at 8000 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Braking duties are taken care of a dual radial-mounted caliper with 310 mm discs and a single-piston rear caliper with a 240 mm disc at the rear along with dual-channel ABS as standard. Suspension wise the bike gets new adjustable 41 mm Showa Separate Fork Function (SFF) USD forks at the front and a Pro-Link monoshock at the rear.
